Really cool spider

We have a new guest at the Emerald Inn, Blackie Tail, a yellow garden spider. She has been working busily for the past few days preparing for her family, I think. She lives just outside our kitchen window and has created some beautiful webs. This morning she demonstrated exactly how she spins this web. It was fascinating; like watching someone knit, "knit one, pearl two..." I watched her as I drank my morning coffee and marveled at her meticulous work.
